Hey all you Swing Cats,
I’m still pretty bad about keeping these updates regular, but here goes:
Congrats to the Tucson Swing scene and especially congrats to our instructors Howard and Gayl, they were featured in last week’s Caliente! Hopefully we’ll get a pic up here of the two dancing. In the meantime, ask me to see, I’ve got a couple copies.

1) The Arizona Swing Cats are proud to present
Swing Into Fall Workshop With Jean and Bromley! ALL THIS WEEKEND, October 17, 18, & 19th 2008
-Friday: Dance under the stars, 7:00-10:30 pm (we’d love volunteers at 6:30 to help us set up), UA Mall in front of the stage on the mall, FREE
-Saturday:
Workshop classes with Jean and Bromely, 10:00 am -4:00 pm, UA Campus Recreation Center, $10 per class (or register online for $45 for all 6 classes!)
Lindy Mo’s Dance, 7:00-11:00 pm, Arizona Ballroom Company, 1st hour lesson, Hot Club of Tucson band starts at 8:00 pm, $8 with Student ID
Late Nite Dance, 12:00 am- Very Very Late, @ Eric’s house (with Dan’s floor!), get directions @ workshop, dances, or just email me, FREE (but you might want to bring some food or drink to be nice)

-Monday Oct 20th- Friday Oct 24th, various spirit activities (eating contests, obstacle course, giant twister, more), 12:00pm -1:00pm, UA Mall by Student Union (dress to get messy).
-If we get at least five people out each day to compete we have a chance at winning cash prizes for our club! Email me if you can help out! You can invite your friends cause you don’t actually have to be a Swing Cats official member to take part in the fun! Please help support our club!

3) Armory Park Dance, Saturday Oct 25th, lesson at 7:00 pm, band plays from 8:00-11:00 pm, Armory Park Center downtown, $10-15
Other stuff:
4) Vintage Shirts for sale: Todd has some old Arizona Swing Cats T-Shirts from years past, ask him for designs, sizes, and prices.
5) I need volunteers this Friday, Oct 17th, at 6:30 to help set up for our mall dance, and I need people to sign up for Homecoming week activities all next week. Please help out, email me if you can. We’re trying to do a lot this year and we need your help!
